Rangers Pitcher Nearing Return From Injury

Texas Rangers starting pitcher Jacob DeGrom is finally nearing his return from injury. He is set to make his return to the majors at some point during the Rangers’ upcoming six-game road trip that begins tomorrow.


Jacob DeGrom had Tommy-John surgery in June of 2023. He hasn’t pitched in a major league game since April 28th, 2023. It’s definitely a breath of fresh air for all baseball fans knowing that Jacob DeGrom will soon be back on the mound in a real live game.


Back in the off-season of 2022-2023, Jacob DeGrom signed a big deal to go to the Rangers. It was a five-year, $185m deal. He hasn’t had much of a chance to pitch during this contract as he’s been hurt a big part of it.


The time that Jacob DeGrom has been able to pitch with the Rangers is a total of six starts. He’s pitched 30 1/3 innings, and a great 2.67 ERA. Everyone knows the type of pitcher that Jacob DeGrom is, he is a 2x Cy-Young award winner with the New York Mets.


Getting Jabob DeGrom back is like a huge free-agent signing for the Texas Rangers. DeGrom brings so much when he is healthy. He can be the best pitcher in the entire game. As of right now it’s uncertain which day DeGrom will make his return, but it is definitely very soon.
