KANSAS CITY, MO: Manager Bruce Bochy told Evan Grant of the Dallas Morning News that the club is placing rookie OF Wyatt Langford on the 10-day IL. Langford left Saturday’s game against the Royals with hamstring tightness.

Bochy reports that Langford’s injury is described as a strain, slightly above a Grade-1. Langford is expected to miss three to four weeks with this injury.

Langford was a promising prospect just a bit ago and was added to the Major League club after spring training.

Langford has been with the Rangers since being added and has slashed .224/.295/.293 with one home run and 11 RBI.

The youngster will now rehab his injury and get back on track to meet back up with the major league club. Although setbacks and poor performance have not been what the Rangers or Langford wanted, we are still less than a year since Langford was selected fourth overall in the 2023 MLB Draft.
