The 2023 World Series Champion Texas Rangers have placed rookie outfielder Evan Carter on the 10-day injured list due to back tightness.

The Rangers are getting back to important pieces. They have reinstated rookie outfielder Wyatt Langford from the 10-day injured list. Also, the club reinstated right-handed pitcher Nathan Eovaldi from the 10-day injured list.

It was tough to lose such an important young outfielder due to injury. On the bright side for the Rangers, they are getting back another young outfielder in Wyatt Langford. The Rangers are also getting another addition to their rotation with getting back Nathan Eovaldi.

Evan Carter made his Major League Baseball debut last season. He didn’t qualify for enough games last season to have a rookie season. He played just 23 games at the major league level. Carter took the league by storm in the games he did play and in the playoffs all the way to the World Series.

This season has been much different for Evan Carter. He has started in 45 games. Carter is slashing just .188/.272/.361, with 5 HR’s, 15 RBI’s, and a .633 OPS.

The bottom line is that no one on the Rangers has had the start they’ve wanted. Including as a team as a whole. The Rangers are coming off of a season where they won their first ever World Series. The hope is that Evan Carter can turn his season around once he is back from the injured list.
