The Texas Rangers season just recently got flipped upside down. They cruised through the AL West for most of the season until just a bit ago, they now find themselves out of a playoff spot. With all their struggles, they are turning to their top prospect, Evan Carter, to find a spark.
The 2020 2nd round pick made some quick noise in the farm system, raising to their top prospect. In 108 games in the minors this season, Carter is slashing .288/.413/.450 with 13 home runs and 67 RBI.
Evan Carter is ranked 8th in MLB's top 100 prospects and will look to give the Rangers the recipe they need to get back in an October push. The downfall of the Rangers has been shocking, but as everyone knows, a call up could be exactly what this team needs.
