Rockies RF Hits The IL Once Again

Kris Bryant via The Athletic

Yesterday, the Colorado Rockies announced that they've placed RF Kris Bryant on the IL, once again. The reason for this is due to a fractured left index finger. Kris Bryant has already been on the IL this year.

Kris Bryant is in his second year of his 7-year deal with the Rockies, he signed for $182M. He's been on the IL multiple times through the contract thus far. It was a huge deal, that hasn't really been working out for the Rockies.

Kris Bryant is'nt having a Kris Bryant type year that everyone is used to but, in 65 games, he's slashing .251/.338/.379, to go along with that, he has 8 HR's, 23 RBI's, .717 OPS. These aren't eye catching numbers. but that's also to do with Bryant being injured.

This is tough news for the already bad Colorado Rockies. The Rockies season isn't getting any better, it just keeps getting worse. Kris Bryant will miss about 6 weeks. Hopefully Kris Bryant can comeback strong when he returns.
