The Kansas City Royals, once again, score depth coming from free agency. Per Jon Heyman of the New York Post, the Royals and veteran UTIL man, Adam Frazier, have agreed to a one-year contract worth $2 million.

The deal includes $2.5 million buyout on a $8.5 million mutual option for 2025. The Royals have yet to announce the deal.

Frazier spent his 2023 campaign with the Baltimore Orioles, where he slashed .240/.300/.396 with 13 home runs. His role as a utility man has been seen in recent years as he has seen time in the OF, DH, and primary 2B.

Fraizer's role with the Royals is going to look a lot like his time with the Orioles. A veteran presence for a young and growing franchise. Frazier provides a lefty swing with a bit of pop, as well as versatility in the field.

The Kansas City Royals have made a lot of moves this offseason and ones that the fans are excited for. Being in a weak AL Central, this club could make a push for a postseason run. The Royals have been a bit of a laughing stock since their magical 2015 season, things could finally be turning around for such a promising young club.
