The Royals currently have the worst record in baseball. The sit at the bottom of the AL Central with a record of 18-50. Today, their woes of 2023 continue.
1B Vinnie Pasquantino, is done for the season after tearing the labrum in his right shoulder as he'll need surgery. Pasquantino has been the Royals best hitter this season and is certainly going to be missed.
During Pasquantino's 2023, he slashed .247/.324/.437 with 9 home runs and 26 RBI. The Royals rank bottom of the league in almost every major offensive category, those numbers are going to drop even more.
The Royals will certainly have a problem trying to replicate Pasquantino's production on the offensive side. It's tough to imagine the Royals season getting any worse than what it has, but that changed with the news today.
