Shohei Ohtani is baseball's unicorn. What he's doing has not been seen since the likes of Babe Ruth. He now owns another record that the great bambino held for many years.
On May 9, Ohtani surpassed Ruth's career strikeout total. Paving the way for Ohtani to own this covenant record. Ohtani now has the most pitching strikeouts among players to hit at least 100 career home runs.
This is just another achievement added to Shohei's long list of accomplishments. With Ohtani set to hit the free agent market at the end of the year, it's likely he'll be breaking more of these records. However, he'll most likely be doing so in another uniform.
