The Texas Rangers yesterday announced, they've placed OF Adolis García on the 10-day IL. This is due to a patellar tendon strain. The good news in this is, Adolis García's tendon is not ruptured, but he'll certainly still miss some time.
Adolis García is having an all-star season in his 5th season in the MLB. In 135 starts for García, he's slashing .244/.322/.494, to go along with that he's hit 34 HR's, 100 RBI's, 8 SB, and a OPS of .816.
The Texas Rangers are certainly going to miss Adolis García in the lineup. The Rangers have been pretty cold as a team recently, and this is the last thing they needed.
