The Blue Jays Are Reportedly Eyeing Their Former Starting Pitcher

It was reported yesterday, that the Toronto Blue Jays are showing "strong interest" in Chicago Cubs starting pitcher, Marcus Stroman. This would be a huge boost to an already solid Toronto Blue Jays pitching staff.

Marcus Stroman started out his career in Toronto. He made his debut with them in 2014, but he was then traded to the Mets in 2019. Stroman then signed a 3 year deal, worth $71M with the Chicago Cubs in 2022.

Marcus Stroman is in the midst of a career year. He goes out there for the Chicago Cubs every five starts, and he does great. In 20 starts, Stroman has pitched 118.2 innings, 10-6 record, 2.88 ERA, 101 strikeouts, and a 1.09 WHIP.

If the Chicago Cubs do decide to sell, the Toronto Blue Jays are obviously going to be in on Marcus Stroman. He's a reliable starter, and any team would want a pitcher like Marcus Stroman. This is something to certainly keep an eye on.
