First baseman Rhys Hoskins and the Milwaukee Brewers are finalizing a two-year, $34 million contract with an opt-out after the first season. According to ESPN's Jeff Passan.

Rhys Hoskins has spent his entire career with the Philadelphia Phillies. He became a fan favorite in Philadelphia. The decision of moving Bryce Harper to first base full time forced the Phillies to move on from Rhys Hoskins.

Unfortunately in this past spring training, Rhys Hoskins tore his ACL, and missed all of 2023. Although Hoskins has shown what he can do at the major league level. Rhys Hoskins has played 667 career games, in that time Hoskins has slashed .242/.353/.492, with 148 HR's, 405 RBI's, and a .846 OPS.

Just like Philadelphia, Rhys Hoskins will most likely become a fan favorite pretty quickly in Milwaukee. Rhys Hoskins is such a likable player and the Brewers are lucky to have Hoskins. It's going to be exciting to watch Rhys Hoskins on the Brewers in 2024.
