Jon Morosi reported yesterday, that the Los Angeles Dodgers have shown interest in White Sox starting pitcher, Lucas Giolito. This comes as no surprise as the Los Angeles Dodgers are definitely going to be buyers this year, and the team who Giolito plays for, the White Sox, are certainly going to be sellers.
Lucas Giolito would fit in any rotation as he's putting up solid numbers. For Giolito, in 19 starts this year, his record is 6-5, 112.1 innings pitched, 3.45 ERA, 117 strikeouts, and a 1.14 WHIP. He's been eating up a bunch of innings for the White Sox, and any contending team would love a guy like him.
Lucas Giolito went to High School in Los Angeles, so he's definitely a good fit for the Dodgers. The Dodgers also have an MLB-best 9 of the industry's top 100 prospects, per MLB pipeline. The Dodgers would definitely have enough to trade for Giolito.
As of right now, it certainly sounds like Lucas Giolito will be headed to the Dodgers. Obviously nothing is official, but it's definitely something to look out for, especially if you're a fan of the Los Angeles Dodgers.
