Last night the Texas Rangers defeated the Arizona Diamondbacks in game one of the World Series. It was a good start to the World Series. The final score was 6-5.

The Rangers were trailing almost the whole game, until Corey Seager came up clutch. In the bottom of the ninth, Corey Seager hit a two-run home run to tie the game. It was the first run that Diamondbacks closer Paul Sewald let up a run the whole postseason.

Then the game went into extra innings. In the bottom of the 11th inning, Adolis García continued his postseason tear, he hit a walk-off home run against Miguel Castro.

Game two of the World Series will be tonight at 8:03 ET. The Rangers will look to go up 2-0 in the series and they will have Jordan Montgomery on the mound. The Diamondbacks will look to tie the series as they will have Merrill Kelly on the mound.
