The Philadelphia Phillies are still struggling

As June hits of the 2023 season, the defending National League Champions, Philadelphia Phillies have still not found there groove. Coming into the season the Phillies had a lot of expectations, and they have certainly not lived up to those.

The Phillies in 2022 obviously made a deep run in the playoffs. No one expected it, they made it to the World Series. They fell short of winning it all. This off-season, they added a good amount of pieces after losing in the World Series. The biggest piece being SS Trea Turner. They also added pieces like, Taijuan Walker, Matt Strahm, and others.

This season has not gone to plan, obviously. The Phillies currently sit at 25-31, just 1 game ahead of the Washington National’s for 4th place. They’re 8 games back of first place.
