The Yankees have been battling injuries all season long, that's nothing new. Yesterday, they got some good news for a change. The Yankees are currently in Los Angeles, getting ready for a three-game set against the Dodgers.
The transaction list included sending down INF/OF Oswaldo Cabrera, INF/OF Franchy Cordero and LHP Matt Krook to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. Additionally they reinstated INF Josh Donaldson and OF/DH Giancarlo Stanton from the 10-day injured list. They also reinstated RHP Tommy Kahnle (#41) from the 60-day injured list.
With the reinforcements the Bronx Bombers are getting, their push atop of the AL East might just be a bit easier. The Yankees currently sit in 3rd place, 6.0 games back, with a record of 34-24. The Yankees have battled through the injuries all season long, it's a breath of fresh air for the ball club that is working their way back on top.
