The Detroit Tigers have reinstated outfielder Kerry Carpenter from the 60-day injured list. To make room for Carpenter on the 40-man roster, the club recalled RHP Brendan White from Double-A Erie and placed him on the 60-day injured list with a right elbow strain.

The Tigers have badly missed Kerry Carpenter in their lineup. They are a much better team overall with him in the lineup. To prove that, Carpenter made a start yesterday in his first game back, and he launched two home runs.

Kerry Carpenter is having a career year. He’s been firing on all cylinders. The only thing that stopped Carpenter from being an All-Star, was his injuries. Although, he’s finally back an healthy.

When healthy, Kerry Carpenter gets a great amount of playing time. In 50 games this year, Carpenter has slashed .283/.342/.572, with 10 HR, 32 RBI, and a .962 OPS.

It’s been amazing to be able to watch the strides that Kerry Carpenter has taken this year. He’s improved so much from years past. Now, he just needs to stay healthy and finish off one of his best seasons healthy and good.
