Top Prospect is Heading to Double A

Jackson Holliday via Julio Cortez / Associated Press

Yesterday, the Baltimore Orioles announced that they have promoted MLB's top prospect, Jackson Holliday, to Double-A Bowie. The 19-year old was drafted in last year's draft and is already making heads turn.

In High-A, Holliday is making the sport of baseball look easy. In 260 AB, Holliday is slashing .331/.466/.523 with 7 home runs and 51 RBI. There's no questioning the talent that Jackson possesses and it's becoming more and more apparent that he might be on his way to make his MLB debut.

That debut could come as soon as next season. The O's rebuild has been nothing short of amazing and adding a player like Jackson Holliday into the mix, creates a scary Orioles team for years to come. The future of the Baltimore Orioles organization is here and it's here to stay for years to come.
