Adding the league's best power-speed player to the NL champion Phillies was a huge addition. The Phillies, who we're heartbroken less than a month ago, are now the most ecstatic team in baseball.
Trea Turner, who averaged .298, 21 home runs, and swiping 27 bags in 2022, will slide in perfectly in this already potent Phillies lineup. Paired up with Bryce Harper, Kyle Schwarber, J.T. Realmuto, and Rhys Hoskins, the Phillies are primed to make an even deeper run than they did in 2022. With the shift being banned as well as extending the size of the bases in 2023, Turner is projected to have an even better 2023 campaign than he did in 2022.
