The Minnesota Twins have activated shortstop Carlos Correa from the 10-day injured list. Outfielder DaShawn Keirsey Jr. was optioned to Triple-A after the move to reinstate Carlos Correa from the injured list.
Carlos Correa is a huge addition for the Twins lineup. It has been over two months since he’s appeared in a Twins game. Correa has been out of action and on the IL due to a plantar fasciitis in his right foot. The Twins have missed Carlos Correa a lot, and now he’s back.
Last season, Carlos Correa played through a pretty similar injury. It was worse this season. It was on his left foot last season and this year it’s his right foot. Last season while Correa was dealing with the injury, it was one of his worst seasons of his career.
This year has been a different story. Carlos Correa has had a huge bounce back season. It will get even better now that he is healed up. In 76 games, Correa is slashing .310/.337/.523, with 13 HR, 47 RBI, and a .900 OPS.
It’s a great sight for Twins fans to see their star shortstop Carlos Correa back on the field. They have certainly missed him and their is still a good chance the Twins make it to the playoffs. This is the perfect time for the Twins to get back a player like Carlos Correa. It’s truly a huge boost to an already good lineup.
