The Minnesota Twins have placed shortstop Carlos Correa on the 10-day injured list after substaining an oblique injury. This is really unfortunate news for the 2023 AL Central division winners. The Twins have had a lot of bad news when it comes to injures this season.
As mentioned above, the Twins have had a lot of injuries. In total, they've placed 10 players on the injured list. Those players are:
INF Carlos Correa
INF Royce Lewis
OF Max Kepler
RHP Jhoan Duran
RHP Daniel Durate
RHP Justin Topa
RHP Josh Staumont
RHP Anthony DeSclafani
RHP Josh Winder
RHP Zack Weiss
LHP Caleb Thielbar
Carlos Correa is in his third season as a member of the Minnesota Twins. This year, Correa was off to a pretty good start to the season. In 11 games, Correa slashed .306/.432/.444, with 1 HR, 4 RBI's, and a .876 OPS. While putting up those offensive numbers, Carlos Correa was playing at a high level on defense, as usual.
The Twins will now be without one of their best players for a little bit. The Twins are off to a rough start in 2024, as they're currently 6-7. Carlos Correa is a huge contributor for the Twins offense, and with all their other injuries, the Twins will certainly miss Carlos Correa.
