Veteran Outfielder Close to an Agreement With the White Sox

The Chicago White Sox and free-agent Outfielder Tommy Pham are close to an agreement on a contract. Per, Ken Rosenthal of the Athletic. It will be a minor league deal. That way, the White Sox can start Pham in the minors because he is out of options. Then, once Tommy Pham is ready, he can join the White Sox in the MLB.

Tommy Pham has been a free-agent for a long time. Pham was a big part of the Diamondbacks reaching the 2023 World Series, and he was apart of a team all the way through the season. Finally, Pham is now close to finding a home for the 2024 season.

Mentioned above, Pham spent the season with the Diamondbacks. Also, he was on the Mets in the first half of the season. Then at the trade deadline is when Tommy Pham was traded to the Arizona Diamondbacks for minor leaguer Jeremy Rodriguez.

Tommy Pham has had a great MLB career. He’s aging really well. Especially in 2023. In a total of 129 games, Pham slashed .256/.328/.446, with 16 HR’s, 68 RBI’s, and a .774 OPS. Pham also played a solid outfield. Any team would take a player like Tommy Pham, he’s always been really solid.

The White Sox don’t really have any expectations for this season. They’re just kind of just looking to build their young players. Tommy Pham can help with that, he’s a great team player. The White Sox made a really solid move by signing Tommy Pham.
