According to Jon Heyman of the New York Post, the Chicago White Sox and infielder Nick Senzel are in agreement on a contract. There were not many details of the contract money wise, but the important part is that it’s said to be a major league contract.

Nick Senzel has mainly played third base in his major league career. He can play shortstop and second base. He isn’t very familiar with first base at all.

This season has been filled with ups and downs for Nick Senzel. It was his first ever season not with the Reds. Senzel has been in the MLB since 2019. Each and every year since he has been on the Reds. They parted ways last season and he decided to go to the Washington Nationals.

It really hasn’t been a terrible season for Nick Senzel, but it definitely hasn’t been consistent. They numbers may look decent, but he’s been having a very inconsistent season. In 64 games, Senzel has slashed .209/.303/.359, with 7 HR, 18 RBI, and a .662 OPS.

The White Sox don’t have very much to lose. They decided to take a flier on Nick Senzel and can see where it goes. He will get a chance to prove himself with the White Sox on the major league club.
