White Sox in Agreement With Right-Handed Pitcher

Right-handed free-agent pitcher, Chris Flexen and the Chicago White Sox are in agreement on a one-year, $1.75 million contract, Per, Jeff Passan of ESPN. The Chicago White Sox continue to search for starting pitching, and they get that with Flexen.


Chris Flexen has had an up and down career, he's been with three teams in seven seasons. From 2017-2019 Flexen playing with New York (NL), 2021-2023 he played with Seattle, and also in 2023 Flexen played with Colorado.


Chris Flexen had one of his worst seasons of his career in 2023. Flexen pitched 29 games in 2023, 2-8 record, and a 6.86 ERA. Although, Chris Flexen has shown some upside in his career as he posted a solid ERA of 3.61 in 2021, and a 3.76 ERA in 2022.


Chris Flexen gives the Chicago White Sox flexibility with their starting pitching depth. This is a solid pickup for the White Sox who continue their off-season, and look to add even more.
