The New York Yankees have made a string of promotions recently. They called up Everson Pereira (#3) to MLB, Jasson Dominguez (#2) AAA, as well as Oswald Peraza to MLB. Even Austin Wells (#8) is expected to be in play for September call ups.
With these promotions, there comes one that many fans are excited about. The Yankees announced that they have called up their number one overall prospect, Spencer Jones, to AA Somerset. The 6' 6" outfielder has a lot of comparisons to Aaron Judge, specifically due to his build.
Jones is flying through the Yankees farm system and at 22 years of age, the youngster could find himself up in AAA before he knows it. Jones hit .268 with 13 homeruns and a .787 OPS in 100 games for High-A Hudson Valley this season.
