BALTIMORE MD: The Baltimore Orioles’ Gunnar Henderson announced that he will be participating in the 2024 Home Run Derby, that will take place in Arlington, Texas. The Orioles young star is the first to declare.

Henderson, 23, has made quite the name for himself since joining the Orioles big league club in 2022. His 2024 campaign has been nothing short of spectacular.

The youngster has slashed .290/.388/.612 with 26 home runs and has compiled a 6.1 WAR. Henderson ranks second in Major League Baseball with 26 home runs, just shy of Yankees’ Aaron Judge’s 31 home runs.

Henderson has been a key piece of what the Orioles have been building down in Baltimore. The young core of studs have made Baltimore baseball exciting again. That’s exactly what Henderson plans on doing at Globe Life Field.
