Philadelphia Phillies starting pitcher Zack Wheeler was off to a rough start to the 2023 season. His season is finally turning around, in a big way.
Coming into today’s Phillies game Zack Wheeler had a 4.11 ERA on the season. He tossed up a gem against the very talented Atlanta Braves lineup. He pitched 8 innings, 3 hits allowed, 1 walk, 0 earned runs, and 12 strikeouts.
Both Zack Wheeler and the Phillies needed this big start from him. As it brought his season ERA down to 3.66. Everyone in the Phillies starting rotation has an ERA above 4, besides Wheeler. The Phillies can only hope that this lights a fire under everyone else in the Phillies starting rotation.
