The fans of the Cincinnati Reds have been waiting for this moment. It has finally happened, the have Reds called up there number 1 prospect, Elly De La Cruz. He's arguably the best prospect in baseball, and he's going to add some fire to this Cincinnati Reds ball club. It's always good to have some young guys on your team, and Cruz is certainly young, as he's just 21 years old.
Elly De La Cruz has been tearing it up in the minors this year. His numbers certainly show it. Through 158 at bats, Cruz is batting .297, he's hit 12 home runs, he has 36 RBI's, and a 1.031 OPS. He's also a speedster on the basepaths, he has 11 stolen bases on the year.
Elly De La Cruz is mainly a SS, but Reds manager David Bell was asked where he'll play. He answered "a little bit of SS and 3B". Elly De La Cruz is going to be a lot of fun in the MLB, it's certainly going to be exciting to watch.
