On Sunday, the Cleveland Guardians got a huge addition back to there starting rotation. He hadn't made a start all year due to an injury, he had a Teres Major Mustle Strain. He's already making a huge impact and it's expected to continue.
He was on a limited pitch count, although he still had a great outing. In just 79 pitches, he tossed 5 innings, 1 hit allowed, 0 earned runs, 1 walk, and 10 strikeouts.
Triston McKenzie is just 25 years old. He's just getting started. He was very reliable for the Guardians last year, in 31 games, he pitched to a 2.96 ERA, 191.1 innings pitched, 190 strikeouts, and a 0.951 WHIP. McKenzie is going to continue to build off of this start and have another productive year.
