On July 10, 2021 OF Ronald Acuña Jr. tore his ACL. When he came back, he wasn’t the same as he was before. He was still solid, but not what his full potential is. When he came back in 2022, he hit .266, an OBP of .351, he had a .413 SLG, and OPS of .764, and 15 HR’s. That’s obviously not the Acuña everyone knows.

In the 2022 offseason, absolutely nobody expected Acuña to perform like that. He definitely isn’t performing like that again. So far in 2023, through 32 games, Ronald Acuña Jr. is batting .355, .445 OBP, .589 SLG, 1.034 OPS, 20 RBI’S, and 6 HR. Acuña also leads the league in steals with 15.

Ronald Acuña Jr. is back and the league should be on notice. Acuña is one of MLB’s best young stars. He’s a true 5 tool player. Adding great offense, defense, and electric speed. Ronald Acuña Jr. is primed for a great year and could take home the NL MVP Award.
