The Philadelphia Phillies will have a decision to make this upcoming off-season. Rhys Hoskins, who has been with the Phillies since 2014, is a free agent this off-season. Rhys Hoskins has been up with the Phillies in the MLB since 2017, although he played some outfield, mainly Hoskins has been the Phillies first baseman ever since.

Here is the problem, Bryce Harper had Tommy John Surgery on November 23rd. The Phillies and Bryce Harper agreed to have him play first base so it gave the Phillies more options with the lineup. Bryce Harper played a total of 36 games at first base during the regular season, he did a pretty good job at it.

Dave Dombrowski had an end of year press conference. Dombrowski was asked about the situation about first base. He replied, "We will sit down with Bryce Harper and have a heart-to-heart conversation about what his preference is: playing first base or going back to rightfield."
