The Tampa Bay Rays have themselves a legitimate ace in Tyler Glasnow. The only problem with that, he only has one year left of his contract before hitting free agency. As the track record goes, the Rays do not spend much if any money in free agency. Year after year Tampa Bay's payroll is bottom of the league. So for that reason, here are three teams who should be trying to acquire the services of Tyler Glasnow.
1. San Francisco Giants
The Giants have themselves a decent pitching staff. With the addition of Glasnow, it would look even better. Currently having the likes of Logan Webb, Ross Stripling, Alex Cobb, and Anthony DeSclafani. The Giants finished with the 11th best team ERA (4.02), the addition of Glasnow would make them even better.
2. St. Louis Cardinals
The Cardinals have made it known that pitching is at the top of their priority list this offseason, and it needed to be. Finishing 24th in team ERA (4.79), this staff needs an ace. That's where Tyler Glasnow comes in. St. Louis already added two starters in Lance Lynn and Kyle Gibson, having the surplus of outfielders and prospects, they have what it takes to acquire Glasnow.
3. Chicago Cubs
The Cubs are about to wreck havoc this offseason. The front office has made it known that they are going to be extremely active. Rumors have already started circulating about the prized free agent, Shohei Ohtani. Chicago barely missed the postseason last year, they went out and replaced their manager and got Craig Counsell. Chicago ranked 14th in team ERA (4.08), adding Glasnow to this rotation is a match made in heaven.
